The [allegedly true] Story of Kiki Kannibal (All information was paraphrased from an article from the Rolling Stone. I DO NOT OWN)
Born Kirsten Ostrenga, Kiki Kannibal was just another lonely, 14 year old girl. Being a victim of bullying at a school that was made up of mainly African American and Hispanic kids, Kiki turned to the social networking site, Myspace, for comfort. It was in this virtual world that she felt safe and loved. The minute she signed up, her account was full of friend requests. Unfortunately, not all were fans. Along with many compliments came many insults, calling her a names like "slut" and "whore". One day she came home to her home, covered in neon green spray paint. The words "Regal Slut" were painted on her walls and in her driveway. The contstant slander and insults took a toll on Kiki, but she still refused her parents suggestions to leave Myspace, saying that "then the bullies would win..."
Not only was Kiki harrassed, but she was also stalked. She would constantly recieve messages such as "I will find you and rape you..." She even recieved a message that stated, "I know where you live and I will kill your cat." Soon after, her cat did in fact go missing. After Kiki told her parents about the stalking, the family moved far away, hoping to escape. However, they ran into their next problem.
Kiki, now homeschooled and desperate for friends, saught refuge with a boy she met online who claimed to be only 17. This boy's name was Danny Cespedes who was at the time called "Mr. Myspace". Danny's family situation was not a good one. His father was a sex offender, but he had not told Kiki. She and Danny dated despite Mrs. Ostrenga's suspicions. Danny soon charmed Mrs. Ostrenga into believing he was perfectly harmless and perfect for her daughter. One day, Danny's mother angrily called Mrs. Ostrenga complaining that Danny was coming home with spiked hair and eyeliner on. She claimed that Kiki was turning him into a "fag" as she put it. The two were soon forbidden to see each other, but still met behind Danny's mother's back. One dau, Danny appeared at the Ostrengas home deeply distraut about family matters and slightly drunk. The Ostrengas reluctantly let him sleep there, and it was then when he allegedly raped Kiki when she gave in to him after refusing at least 10 times to have sex.
Kiki was very upset by this, and her mother took her in for therapy. Soon after her rape, Danny moved to North Carolina. Not too long after his move, Kiki found out that he was in fact an 18 year old, and she was the 4th of many under aged girls he had had sexual relations with. She was also banned from Myspace for posting nude photos. As it turns out, her Myspace was hacked by haters. She then turned to Stickam, a video hosting site. Even later, she learned that Danny had been arrested. In an attempt to escape, he had jumped over a railing, possibly aiming for a car to land on below. He missed, and landed on the hard cement, putting himself in a coma, and dying soon after. When the general public learned of Danny's death, posts were up everywhere saying that Kiki had helped because she was jealous. Stickydrama even posted a picture of Danny, dead in his coffin. This news upset Kiki even further, but she still refused to leave stickham.
